Nick Hofstadter – Luxury Travel Designer

Airplane Nerd. Hotel Junkie. Globetrotter.

I’m a native Angeleno who has been obsessed with airplanes, airports, hotels, languages and international cuisines ever since I can remember. As a youngster, I loved sitting on the tarmac and identifying all the different aircraft. I discovered the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List at ten and designed a fantasy global itinerary in which the destinations were based on the hotels where I most wanted to stay, and a hotel junkie was officially born. All of this made me predestined to do something with travel.

While living in New York in my mid 20s, I traded my original editorial career for high end special events. The attention to detail, logistics planning and collaboration with the privileged clientele was perfect training for my future career in luxury travel. After transitioning to restaurant events and marketing, I pursued a Masters from NYU’s Jonathan Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Business Management. It was there that I met one of the most revered luxury travel agents in the industry, who made me realize that my background in events and love of travel was a seamless match for luxury travel advisement.

Upon graduation in 2014, I returned to L.A and began working alongside the president of one of the city’s top luxury travel agencies and have never looked back. Since then, I’ve planned countless trips for the Hollywood elite and other high net worth clients, and was privileged to be featured as a Trendsetter in Luxury Travel Advisor. Travel continues to be not just my trade, but my number one passion.
